Chandler can Crawl

Chandler can crawl! He has been trying tto for awhile now. He could go backwards and spin all around but he just hadn't figured out how to go forward until today. He looks kind of like an inch worm cause he sticks his hiney up in the air and then plops down. It gets him where he wants to go though! he crawled all the way from his room to Parker's room.
He can also sit up from crawling too. I hadn't seen him do that until today either. I think Shaun may have seen him do it once before though.
We went to the mall today and got a drink and tried to teacher Chandler to use a straw. He learned so fast. It is cute that he can drink out of a straw now!
We took the boys to Build a Bear and Chandler got excited about a puppy so he got a soft cute puppy with a red shirt and Parker picked out a pink minkey with hearts all over it. We tried to see if he wanted a bear or dinosaur or someting but he wanted the pink one. So silly. When we got home he said it was his curious george monkeys mama. He is really into family and who is who. He always is asking things like... where is Reese's mama (he thinks reese is a daddy dog), and is that kitty a daddy or mama. He just wants to know. It's sweet to me.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. e spent Tuesday night with Grandma and Pappaw, Wednesday night with Great Grammy and Grandad and Thursday with Nanny and Poppa. The boys got s many clothes and toys I couldn't believe it. It was really fun. Parker really got into it this year. He was so sweet opening gifts. he showed interest in each gift and said thank you to people as he opened them. He was so poite, sweet and excited. Chandler loved that paper and bows of course. He was very excited and had a great time too.

Spidey

Today was a snow day! WoooHoo! I love snow days!
While Chandler was taking a nap, Parker and I went through his old clothes to see what could fit Chandler. Parker was such a good helper. He put all the socks away and matched up shoes for me. Chandler is already wearing some 18 month clothes and he is only 7 months old! He weighed 21 lbs when we went to Dr. Daley last week. Anyway, we found a cute pair of Jammies. I think he makes a cute spiderman baby.








Also, earlier this morning Parker broke up his goldfish into small pieces and gave some to Chandler. It was cute of him to do and Chandler loved the goldfish.

The Christmas Train

Tonight we went to the Christmas Train in Dry Gulch, USA. They remodeled and it is very pretty there. We had a lot of fun. It was pretty cold though! It started sleeting while we were there and then we drove in freezing rain home. Yikes! But Shaun did a good job, I am just one of those nervous riders. Chandler was such a good baby. He fell asleep when we rode the train. Parker had fun, he loves trains so much. He also got to ride a pony. But, during the whole pony ride, he kept looking a this small little donkey that was standing off to the side. It really was a sweet looking donkey. It looked like the donkey in the Disney cartoon Small One. I think that is why Parker was so worried about him. He thought that he looked sad. When we watched that movie last week, there was a part at the end of the movie when Joseph buys the donkey to carry Mary. The movie never shows a picture of Jesus or Mary, but when it showed Joseph, I told Parker who it was. He said, oh and Mary! It is neat that he is connecting the two together and knows their names.

The Sleeping Haircut

We went to Wal Mart shopping this morning and then we had to head straight to a hair appointment. Parker fell asleep on the way. So, when we got there I just carried him in asleep thinking he would wake up inside for the haircut. He didn't though! He slept through the whole thing!

I Love You Too

Today I stayed home with the boys because Chandler is sick. Poor little guy it is his first time to be sick. He has a sore throat and a high fever. His fever I think is making him feel sick at his stomach so he has thrown up twice. This afternoon when he threw up poor little Parker tried to clean it up. We were playing with blocks on the floor and I went to put the Tylenol back on the counter. I heard Parker say uh oh, oh no! I looked over and Chandler had thrown up all over the floor and the blocks. I took Chandler to clean him up and Parker said " I keen it up mama" and he ran to get towels. I tried to tell him several times to leave it alone, I would clean it after I helped Chandler. But, he just kept going and getting more towels and saying, "it's ok, I keen it up, I do it." Bless his heart. He is such a good brother. And bless Chandler's heart, he is so sick.
So anyway, when I put Chandler down for a nap, Parker and I laid on the couch and watched Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. I squeezed him tight and said, "Parker, I love you." He said..."Mama, I wu you too." It was so adorable to me. he says I love you all the time but this time was cuter to me becasue he said "too"

Chandler's First Tooth

Chandler's tooth is in well enough now that we got to take some pretty good pictures of it. He looks so cute to me. The tooth right next to it is about to come in too! Guess he will have his two front teeth for Christmas.

Chandler's First Thanksgiving

I think Chandler had a great first Thanksgiving.
Parker stayed the night with Grandma and Pappaw on Wednesday. He got to help Grandma make the pecan pies. They video recorded it and it was so funny. Parker kept sticking his finger inthe syrup and licking it off. Then when Grandma turned around he would touch whatever he could and taste it too! They played and stayed up late. Then we came over in the morning with Chandler. They were so excited to see each other. It was cute that they missed each other! We just played and lounged around until lunchtime. Chandler got to taste stuffing, which he loved! Parker mostly ate pimento cheese dip and chips. That was his favorite. Grammy and Grandad were there and and Parker got the giggles with Grammy.
After naptime we went to Nanny and Poppa's house for dinner. We played with toys talked and relaxed. Parker like the jelly and rolls best at Nanny's. We go to see Brian and Molly's wedding pictures. They were really pretty. Parker wanted to stay the night with Nanny and Poppa so we took Chandler home and got some rest so we could shop of Friday. Nanny and Poppa wanted Chandler to stay too but I am still bursing him so I wanted him home with me.
Thanksgiving was great. I am so thankful for my husband who love more than words can say. I am so thankful for the 2 beautiful and ornery boys that we have and how very healthy they are. I am also thankful for our parents and grandparents, who are all still married and in love, setting the best examples of a marriage for us. I am happy to have family. It is my favorie part about life.

Please Turn the Sun Off

Parker has always had sensitive eyes from the time we brought him home. He used to cry in the car when the sun got to bright and he still fusses when it shines on him. He is very attached to his sunglasses, like his Daddy! When we step outside in the sunshine, most days he will ask for his "gassees." Today, when we were on the way to Sams, he said..."Mama, turn the sun off, Mama, turn sun off! I thought it was kinda cute. I told him I couldn't do that , but I did have some sunglasses for him that would help him. He said..."Tank you mama."
I love whenhe calls me Mama. Lately he has been being so grwon up and calling me and Shaun mom and dad. It has jsut been over the past two weeks or so that he has been dong hat. I wonder why kids change it to just mom and just dad. I think I like mama nad daddy better.

Chandler's First Tooth

Chandler went to bed last night with a tooth close to coming in and this morning he woke up with a tooth! It is barely cut through but you can feel it! It is his bottom left tooth. I just hope that he doesn't bite me!
I took Chandler to Dr. Daley on Wednesday. he weighs 20.5 lbs. Parker weighs 29.5 lbs. now and when Parker was 6 months old he weighed 16.5lbs. Chandler is definitely a bigger boy than his brother!

Big

I can't believe that Chandler was 6 months old yesterday. It all happens so fast. I can't believe that Parker is only 4 months away from being 3. Sometimes it seems like I want them to be babies forever. I want to snuggle them always and hold them. But, it is so neat to see them grow. I don't think there is anything better than to see the look in their eyes when they learn something new or are so proud of how "big" they feel. Chandler rolls over both ways now and he ate big people peas last night, Parker just stayed overnight with each grandparent this week and they both think they are so "big". All night last night and today Parker keeps talking about what is big and what is little. "Mama...big, Parker...little. Daddy...big, Chanwer...little. this juice big...this juice little." I am glad he still knows he's little to me. Chandler likes to bite me now when I nurse him. He will do it with such an ornery face, 10 times in a row if I give him a reaction. I finally figured, although it is as hard as I'll get out, that if I can completely not react, he stops. Little turkey is just looking for a reaction. I read today that it isn't how many breaths you take in a moment, it's how many moments take your breath away. These boys sure take my breath away.

Sippie Cup

Chandler figured out how to take a swig of water out of his sippee cup today. I bought it for him on Sunday. He wants to be a part of dinner so bad so I thought it would make him feel included. At first he just chewed on it but then he took a drink and liked it. I have been giving him cherrios for about a week now so he feel like such a big kid now at dinner time. You can tell it makes him happy.

Halloween at home

Parker figured out how to use the camera tonight between trick or treaters. Just wanted to post some of his first pictures. These were the only ones you could make out. Maybe he'll be a photographer someday or.. maybe he'll follow in the footsteps of his Grandma.

When one group of people came to trick or treat Parker was playing blocks with Uncle Brian. HE wanted to get tot he door so bad to hand out candy but he thought he had to put all of his blocks away first. Poor little guy. I don't know where he gets that from. haha. Anyway, I stalled for him and he got to hand out some candy, he was so proud of himself.

Halloween at church

Tonight we went to the fall festival at FBCO. They had a preschool area with games and inflatables set up. Parker wasn't sure about any of it at first. He also didn't have a nap today so he was sooooo exhausted. Once he got in the inflatables though he warmed up and ended up having a blast. He loved jumping. Chandler was the same happy go lucky baby that he always is. He smiled and giggled and saw some baby friends. Then he crashed on my shoulder while Parker raked inmore candy. Aunt Molly and uncle Brian stayed at our house and handed out candy to all the trick or treaters. I am so glad they did that!

Halloween at school

Today me, Kristy, Mary and Lori dresses up at school in the theme of our classrooms. I decorate with frogs and bugs, Kristy decorates with cowboys, mary decorates with bees and lori decorates with Curious Geroge. It was fun to dress up. The kids really liked it. Several of my students dressed up too.

2 Months Old

Today Chandler is 2 months old. He has already been sleeping through the night. I can't believe it! I still have him in my room. With Parker, I had him in his own room the first night. I couldn't even blink an eye with him because I was so nervous. I feel way more relaxed with Chandler so I can sleep much better this time so, I like having him in my room.
On Sunday we went and visited his Great Uncle Richard and Great Aunt Carolyn. He had fun. And On Monday Chandler fell asleep in his swing. it was so adorable. He really likes his swing.

Muskogee Water Park

We went to the Muskogee Water Park today. I love that place! It is probably as much fun to me as it is to the kids. Parker has a blast in the kiddie area. It is so fun. There is water falling around everywhere and slides and everything! Chandler got in the water. He thought it was ok. It wasn't too bad once he got used to the water!

At one point he just got so tuckered out. We laid him on the towel for a little shut eye. I love when he sucks his thumb. I think it is so adorable. He doesn't take a pacifier.


Later we went to Great Aunt Joann's house and Chandler got to meet his Great Granny and Papa!




Parker had so much fun. He found some lotion and liked putting it of mine and Nanny's legs and feet.
